Microsoft has no plans to stop supporting Xbox Live Gold. A representative of the company said this in a comment for the Verge.
The Xbox Live Gold subscription allows players to not only play online, but also participate in various promotions and receive monthly free games. Despite changing the name of Xbox Live to “Xbox online service” in the license agreement, a Microsoft employee denied rumors of a full renaming. According to him, the company wanted to explain more clearly the difference between the basic Xbox Live service and a Live Gold subscription.
In July, an insider, Jeff Grubb, said that Microsoft would cancel its Xbox Live Gold subscription by the end of August. According to him, the company also wanted to make the ability to play online on Xbox One free. A representative of the company did not comment on this information.
A paid subscription for access to multiplayer appeared on Microsoft consoles along with the release of the Xbox 360. Other platforms have similar services, such as Sony’s PlayStation Plus and Nintendo’s Switch Online.
Twitch unblocked s1mple and Zeus channels
Channels of Natus Vincere sniper Alexander s1mple Kostylev and his former teammate Daniil Zeus Teslenko on Twitch have become available again. Information about this appeared in the Twitter feed of the StreamerBans portal.
Both channels were blocked for a week – from July 29. Earlier, Zeus reported that the reason for the ban was a song that, apparently, contained profanity. At the same time, the former NAVI captain noted that the sanctions were applied to him two months after this episode on the broadcast.
S1mple stated that Twitch did not tell Him the exact reason for blocking the channel. At the same time, the current NAVI sniper pointed out a large number of fake streams with recordings of its games and links to fraudulent sites that appear daily on the platform.
