The authors of Apex Legends explained why the game does not have a solo mode
The developers recognized the experiment with the temporary introduction of single-player mode in Apex Legends as a failure. Despite the fact that some users liked it, newcomers who tried it out did not stay in the game. This was reported by USGamer portal with reference to the design Director of Respawn Entertainment Jason McCord.
McCord noted that Apex Legends was originally conceived as a team game: the abilities of individual characters are aimed at supporting allies and are ineffective without them. At the same time, Respawn Entertainment knows that some users want to see a solo mode in “battle Royale”, so the developers are”looking for ways to implement it”.
On April 7, Apex Legends introduced a second main mode — where groups consist of two players rather than three. The changes did not affect rank fights.
